skindeep

2d animation

SKINDEEP is a three-minute, hand-painted animated short that brings the brutal history of racial discrimination in America to life. Each frame transforms real news stories from the past century into a living canvas — a haunting, visceral timeline of systemic injustice and resilience.

Created in collaboration with The Bloc’s internal production studio and Brazilian collective The Youth, with a powerful soundscape crafted by award-winning studio Jamute, SKINDEEP is both a reckoning and a call to remembrance.
